Technical Program Manager/Sr. Manager, Technology

As a Technical Program Manager you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You will leverage industry proven frameworks and drive the appropriate Agile methodology (Scrum/Kanban/etc) focused on predictable, quality delivery and driving continuous improvement of the organization.

The ideal candidate has a track record of delivering large-scale, high-complexity technical projects on time, on budget, and fit to specification.

Key Responsibilities include:

Providing hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases
Defining and executing against strategic delivery roadmaps and actively managing schedules, technology risks, dependencies, and impediments
Driving technical discussions with engineering and business owners for project requirements and scope with specific focus on cloud based data technology
Motivating teams to solve problems and deliver high quality results in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that’s geographically dispersed
Create mechanisms for the team to share ideas, opportunities, or escalate concerns so that leadership can focus on the most critical areas to improve team performance
Monitor and maintain the leadership team’s continuous improvement roadmap
Develop relationships across the extended team and provide thought leadership
Removing barriers and addressing common issues across different initiatives for smoother and timely execution
Providing end-to-end governance, driving teams to adhere to existing processes, and defining new and improved processes and procedures
Managing stakeholder relationships within Technology and Business Units
Performing risk & dependency management across internal and external organizations
Ideal candidates will have the following:

Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to structure complex problems and develop multifaceted solutions
Flexibility and ability to adjust on the fly to new demands & priorities; sense of urgency
Highly collaborative style with strong influencing skills
Prefer candidates with a technical degree or prior experience as a software engineer
Experience in the following:  software development life cycles and quality processes, scope, cost, schedule, deliverables, change management, risk management
Flexibility in switching between Agile and Waterfall methodologies and implementing appropriate framework as needed
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or Military experience
At least 2 years of Technical Program Management experience
At least 2 years experience in a Project Manager role in Software Development or Big Data
At least 2 years experience with in Agile
At least 2 years of experience with hands-on software engineering or data engineering with SQL, NoSQL, Object databases, data repository, data analytics or data transformation experience
Preferred Qualifications:

PMP or Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
1+ years experience working in Cloud services (ex:  Amazon Web Services)
1+ years experience with implementing enterprise-wide platform monitoring tools
1+ years experience with implementing enterprise-wide production support models
